Environmental Data Extraction - Help!

Hi Everyone,

I work in the environmental space and have a contract that requires my team to track and present information about thousands of projects nationwide. This information is coming to us in a relatively uniform manner. All projects are required to fill out a certain form, and from this form we need to collate data for each project (i.e., project size, project location, project lead organization, etc.). Manually entering all this data into a database or spreadsheet is not feasible with our time constraints from the client. I am hoping someone can point me in the direction of an AI tool that can pull this data automatically from PDF forms and put it into a database. I am also looking for database recommendations. From the database we are hoping to display this information in an ARC GIS online mapper so that the client can easily see the information graphically. Help! Thank you!

You can explore AI tools like Adobe Acrobat Pro DC for its PDF data extraction capabilities or more specialised software such as Docparser and PDFelement. These tools can help automate the extraction process based on predefined fields in your PDFs. Once extracted, the data can be exported in formats compatible with your spreadsheet, CVS - comma seperate value, usually works fine.

You could also train your own custom GPT with Open Ai? Just ensure to check security etc.
